Partnerships & Projects

1MT Black Belt Program

The Black Belt Program is designed to be accessible. It's self-paced, recognizing our trainees are often working other jobs and/or caring for family at the same time as completing the program. We use gamification best practices to make learning fun and rewarding. As trainees complete the modules, they progress from White Belt (cotton) to Black Belt (silk), acquiring badges are they achieve each milestone.

Program Completion Unlocks Further Opportunities:

Upon completing The Black Belt Program, trainees qualify for an immersive boot camp as well as several ongoing workshops facilitated in partnership with the partner university—Queen’s University.

HH SDG Sanusi II Challenge

All practicing teachers in Sub Saharan Africa can participate in the annual HH SDG Sanusi II Challenge by completing an online application and sharing an idea intended to improve or enhance education delivery in their community (SDG 4 and 5).

The project has to be for children in early years to grade 12 (Kindergarten - Grade 12 level). Selected project ideas receive funding and mentorship support to implement their project.
